Who was Damian Jean-Baptiste?
"Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. 13 Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work..."-1 Thessalonians 5:12-13

Damian Jean-Baptise (September 22, 1964 – November 9, 2012) was a Caribbean Evangelist, faith hero and visionary. He was husband to Karlene, father to Melanie & Matthieu and brother, minister, friend, and mentor to countless others, particularly within the fellowship of the International Churches of Christ in the Caribbean.
Damian was held in the highest regard in our Caribbean fellowship of churches. He worked hard, he loved, he inspired, he challenged and he led by example.
Born in St. Lucia, schooled in Barbados and married to a Jamaican, Damian truly was a Caribbean man with a Caribbean dream!
Damian led churches in Jamaica, Barbados and the Bahamas at different points in his life and was involved in and integral to the planting of a number of churches in our fellowship throughout the Caribbean. During his life he preached and taught in all the territories in the Caribbean in which we have churches and poured out his life in the building of these churches and for the unity of the region.
When our Father in heaven decided on November 9, 2012 to close his chapter of earthly service, we knew that although we would miss him, his legacy would truly and genuinely live on.
The Caribbean School of Ministry is we believe a part of Damian's legacy; the result and tangible evidence of his vision, and of his love for God's word and the church and his passion to spread the gospel and to build and grow churches throughout the Caribbean. It is our prayer that the CSM would be the fulfilment of one of Damian's many dreams, which included the spread of God's Word in this region that he loved and for which he continually prayed.
We thank God for his life, his faith, his family and his ministry. May God's vision and Damian's impact continue to be felt in our shores through the work of the Caribbean School of Ministry in equipping the saints for the works of service each of us is individually called to in advancing the gospel throughout the Caribbean.
